Standard booking terms: All bookings are taken with a credit card guarantee to cover the following. We reserve the right to charge any guests card should any of the following apply:
No show for reservation & cancellation within 3 days. The full cost of the stay will be charged.
Cancellation within 14 days. Loss of deposit.
Cancellation outside 14 days. A £20 admin charge per room.
Please note: We strongly advise all guests to take out annual travel insurance cover as you would if you were traveling abroad to cover eventualities such as last minute cancellation due to illness etc.
Children: Children sharing with a full paying adult aged 3 to 15 add £10.00. Children under 3 years free of charge. £5.00 charge for travel cot. We do not supply bedding for cots. Children aged 16 or over full rates apply.
Pets: Please note that we do not accept pets in the Glenburn hotel or River cottage. We do however accept well behaved small dogs in Gamekeeper's cottage but they must be restricted to the downstairs only.
Car Parking: Car parking is provided at the hotel as a free service, however the management/owners do not accept responsibility for any loss/damage to cars or their contents.
Discounts for single occupancy of a double room: We do not have any single rooms but may offer single occupancy discounts from Sunday to Thursday inclusive - please deduct 50% discount from the second persons rate ( i.e. 1 x 39 plus 1 x 19.50 = £58.50 per night, please telephone 015394 42649 should you wish to book a single occupancy room ) Weekends, Bank holidays & half term etc are charged at the full room rate based on 2 sharing
Minimum stay policy: We have a minimum 2 night stay policy on weekends although occasionally we do have gaps of 1 night to fill, please enquire. N.B. Bank holiday weekends require a minimum 3 night stay policy on all rooms and the cottages, please enquire for our special 3 night packages.
We are a strictly no smoking hotel: Should we find any guests have smoked in their rooms we will ask them to leave and we will charge a £75 deep cleaning fee, also, any damage caused to the rooms must be paid for. We reserve the right to charge any card given as security, by giving your card for the booking guarantee along with the deposit you accept these terms. These terms are in addition to any other terms as laid out on our website, reception area and promotional materials.
