River Cottage nestles within the hotel grounds next to a bubbling stream. It's just five minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere village, with its selection of bars, restaurants and shops

The cottage is a no-smoking and no-pets deluxe three-bedroom property which sleeps up to six including two children. On the ground floor there is a hallway leading to the large family bathroom, a cloakroom and a large double bedroom overlooking the woods and stream with a dressing room attached. There is also a further children's bedroom with single bunk beds. |
The stairs then lead to the first floor where there is another double bedroom and a large lounge area with a flat screen TV and DVD player. There is a a fitted kitchen and a dining area with patio doors leading to a balcony, which overlooks the stream and woods. A travel cot is also available.
Outside there is parking space for one car and more off-road parking around the corner for a second car. At the rear of the cottage is an idyllic and private Italianette BBQ garden with potted plants, table and chairs - ideal for late evening entertaining.
Access to a nearby spa and leisure club is included in the price of the cottage, as are all towels and linen. Guests are welcome to walk over to the hotel to use the bar and restaurant should they decide not to cook breakfast or dinner!
All in all, River Cottage offers a degree of comfort and style not normally found in Lake District self-catering cottages.
